this cancer has claimed the heart through fallen arteries. detritus blockades the light at the end of my tunnel (vision)
forever and ever, time fix a frown to this brow. these cynical eyes will remain, a nihilist through and through. (time taught us well these lessons ignored come back to haunt us again and again)
this joke has gone too far. punch line that shatters bone, there's a point in all of this, through cataracts it's hard to see. spread your shoulders, carry the load. this cancer has claimed our hearts, clouded our heads, blocked out the sky. high times high water. you wanted answers. no i'm not bitter. no i'm not tired.
this reality ain't as real as it used to be. this junky needs harder fix. twenty four seven, instant access so fired up on thrills we forgot to care. united in disinterest and your demographics to high high to relate.
tuned in dropped out. corpse on the catwalk. it's vanity warfare, blue on blue. front page bleeding blood red. exit wounds are so this season. these lines are blurred and eyes are tired. what was lost in the interpretation? empathy or entertainment? ask the vultures.
scratch a mark on this blank canvas, render thought in parallel lines of clear conscience verses concepts.
over time i've found it's better to burn down than to fake your way through. (stop lying to yourself, don't try to be someone, something you're not). better to burn down than to swallow compromise. (this delusion you maintain will not amount to or give you anything).
can't hold that pose forever. slowly counting to none. (the blinding pain, the sudden rush of nausea that accompanies the realisation you've slowly become everything you use to hate. slit your wrist to spite your heart. in the mirror a path's thoughtless corpse stares back through empty eyes...
